Penn Foundation to Host Glennon Doyle Melton at Annual Autumn Event Penn Foundation will host Glennon Doyle Melton, New York Times Best-Selling Author and Founder of Momastery.com, as the keynote speaker at its annual Autumn Event fundraiser on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 7:30 pm at Pennridge High School (1228 N. 5th Street, Perkasie). About Camp Mariposa® Proceeds from the Silent Auction will benefit Camp Mariposa®, a free overnight weekend camp for youth ages 9 through 12 who are living with addiction in their families. The camp is a partnership between Penn Foundation and The Moyer Foundation. Held every other month at Camp Men-O-Lan in Quakertown, Camp Mariposa® is staffed by Penn Foundation mental health and substance abuse professionals and trained volunteers. Campers have opportunities to learn about the disease of addiction and its impact on the family, techniques for coping with a loved one’s addiction, tips for prevention, and available resources that they can turn to for help. Campers are also able to participate in selected organized activities such as volleyball, basketball, swimming, canoeing, paddle boating, and an obstacle course that includes high and low ropes, zip line, climbing tower, and giant swing.
