The Quakertown Farmers Market is excited to announce our Free Summer Concert Series. Lorri & James are back on Saturday, June 16th from 10am-12pm with a Motown concert. On Sunday, June 17th Tool Shed takes the stage from 12pm-2pm with traditional Folk/Appalachian music played on a 5-string banjo and bowed saw. Saturday, June 23rd we have The Good Sams a group out of Bethlehem, PA. The group is a cover band that does a lot of 60's and 70's rock with some old time 50's rock and blues. Sunday, June 24th Skip & Chickie will perform from 11:30am-2:30pm, entertaining us with a mix of acoustic rock, blues and country. Iron Core Banned, an all original hard rock band from Columbia, NJ, plays on Saturday, June 30th from 12pm-3pm & 6pm-8pm. Join us Friday, June 15th -Sunday, June 17th for the Grand Opening of Sprinkles, a children’s clothing store located in department #359. Sprinkles will celebrate with special sales and a double punch on their rewards card. Join us on Saturday, June 16th from 12pm-2pm we’re having our 2nd Antiques Appraisal Event, located outside Barn One, under the tent. Members from the Pennsylvania Antiques Appraisers Association will be here to appraise your items and share interesting historical facts and stories. Appraisals are verbal only, given on a first come first serve basis. You can bring one item for $6.00 or two items for $10.00, cash only. There is a two-item max for appraisals. The Quakertown Farmers Market is joining forces with the Red Cross for a Blood Drive on Sunday, June 24th from 10am-3pm. The Bloodmobile will be parked outside Entrance #18, near the Garden Center. Appointments are preferred, but not needed. You can register online at redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code: qmart or call 1-800-RED CROSS. All blood types are needed, so take time to be a hero, donate a pint and save a life! Join us for the 2nd Annual Family Fun Day/Touch a Truck free community event at the Quakertown Farmers Market on Saturday, August 4th from 11am-3pm. This year the event has a circus theme with 2 performances by the Give & Take Jugglers’ Little Circus. Each of the Little Circus shows feature aerial fabric, trapeze, juggling, and tight wire. In addition to the Little Circus, Tootsee the Clown will be creating balloon animals/art and face painting from 11am-1pm. Enjoy crafts, games, prizes, special sales, raffles, giveaways and music on the outdoor stage by the Kings of Sunday. Plus enter to win Family 4 packs of Iron Pigs tickets! The Touch a Truck portion of the event brings large vehicles from local construction companies, fire companies, L&L Crane, J Dogg Hauling & Trash Removal, visits from the Quakertown and Richland Township police departments and more vehicles to come! Children will be able to not only meet our first responders but climb in, honk horns and run the sirens of these amazing trucks and vehicles.
