On May 18, 2018, almost 200 people attended the annual Taste of the World gala event in the Estate Pavilion at Pearl S. Buck International in Hilltown, PA. Guests enjoyed socializing; savoring the flavors; bidding on unique items and experiences in live and silent auctions; and voting for the Fan Favorite Awards. Proceeds from the event went to support the humanitarian, intercultural, and historic preservation work of Pearl S. Buck International. The celebrity judges for this year’s event were Jamie Hollander of Jamie Hollander Gourmet Foods & Catering; Kimberly Cambra, Executive Director of the CB Cares Educational Foundation, and a former executive in the hospitality industry; and Ellie Kuhnle, an 8th grade student at Lenape Middle School who competed on Food Network's Chopped Junior TV show and won its premiere episode. The judges selected the winners of the Top Taste Awards: Top Taste Food Award - Bowman’s Tavern (located in New Hope, PA) Top Taste Dessert Award - Nina’s Waffles (locations in Doylestown, Lahaska, and New Hope, PA as well as Sargeantsville, NJ) Top Taste Drink Award - Faber Distillery (located in Quakertown, PA) Guests chose the winners of the Fan Favorite Awards: Fan Favorite Food Award - Plumsteadville Inn (located in Pipersville, PA) Fan Favorite Dessert Award – Owowcow Creamery (locations in Ottsville and Wrightstown, PA as well as Lambertville, NJ) Fan Favorite Drink Award - Free Will Brewery (located in Perkasie, PA) To learn about more signature events at Pearl S.
