Merck Sharp & Dohme Federal Credit Union and the New Britain Charitable Foundation raised $1,000 for the Montgomery County SPCA-Perkiomenville branch. Money was raised during the Paws in the Park Dog Walk held in October at the Waterworks park in Collegeville PA, the event was well attend buy many dogs and their owners. Walkers each received a t-shirt and a doggie back of treats, supplied by a variety of vendors and sponsors who participated for a good cause. Children’s activities include pet photo booth, sand art, and a dinosaur dig for the little ones. Teddy, the therapy dog, was on hand to greet fellow dogs and their walkers, Teddy represents the many animals that the S.P.C.A. supports and shelters throughout its network of locations. The Conshohocken facility houses the administrative offices as well as small domestic animals. The Perkiomenville facility includes a pet cemetery (closed) and horse farm along with facilities for small animals.
