During the November Eagles vs Saints NFL game the real winners that day were the people of the Montgomery County who benefit when organizations come together to do good in the community. Merck Sharp & Dohme Federal Credit Union and the New Britain Charitable Foundation held a silent charity sports auction to raise funds for the Daily Bread Community Food Pantry. The auction was held at Champs Restaurant in Collegeville and featured many exciting autographed items from Carson Wentz, Brian Dawkins, Vince Papale, Tommy McDonald, and the FIFA Woman’s World Cup match. The was something for everyone including gift baskets and certificates from local business such as Razrbar, Movie Tavern, and Massage Envy. A total $1,405 was raised to support Daily Bread’s mission is to eliminate hunger in the Perkiomen area by providing residents in need with programs that provide food, promote the value of nutrition, increase self-sufficiency, and instill hope.
