Save the Date For Habitat Bucks’ Fundraising Gala: Friday, May 3 Jeff Devlin, host, DIY Network’s “Stone House Revival” and HGTV’s “Smart Home” Will Emcee the Event Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County will hold its annual fundraising gala, “Hard Hats & High Heels” from 6:30 – 10:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2019 at Spring Mill Manor in Ivyland, PA. The event, which supports Habitat’s homeownership and home repair programs for local families, includes open bar, hors d'oeuvres, a delicious three-course dinner, and live and silent auctions. A unique feature is the “Designer Challenge”, where ReStore items are upcycled into something useful and creative by local designers. Eight area designers will create one-of-a-kind upcyled furnishings that will be auctioned off at the event. Guests can also ‘purchase’ materials to help Habitat build, including foundations, doors and windows. Other live and silent auction items include: a private tour and reception at George Nakashima Woodworkers, an Eagles football signed by Vaitai, dinner for six prepared by a chef in your home from McCaffrey’s, a vacation in the Outer Banks, golf outings and much more. Last year’s Habitat Bucks gala raised $135,000 (net). “Habitat’s annual fundraiser provides critical resources to support our mission of providing affordable homeownership solutions in Bucks County,” says Florence Kawoczka, Executive Director, Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County.
