23rd Annual 5K Race/Walk Takes Place Wednesday, July 12, 2017 Souderton Area High School student, Lillian Joyce, is this year’s winner of the Moyer Indoor | Outdoor 5K T-shirt Design Contest. In addition to winning a $100 Visa gift card, her design will be printed on over 700 Moyer 5K T-shirts for July’s upcoming event. There were over 45 participants in this year’s contest and while the winner received the big prize, all students who entered designs received a $5 Wawa gift card. Lillian, a junior in the Souderton Area High School, has always had a passion for art. Lillian said, “I have always enjoyed art and was glad I was able to submit a design into the contest.” Lillian has grown up in Montgomery County with her parents, older sister, and two dogs. Moyer Indoor | Outdoor gives back to the Souderton Area High School Art Department in number of ways, including an annual art scholarship. The Annual Moyer 5K Race, Kids’ Run & Fitness is the largest event in the Indian Valley. In 2016, there were over 500 runners and 500 volunteers and supporters. “We couldn’t be happier that our 5K has become such a fixture in the community,” said Bob Williamson, General Manager for Moyer Indoor | Outdoor and founder of the annual 5K event. “We are proud to sponsor this popular race for the twenty-third year.” Williamson added. Held at Souderton’s Community Park, the 23rd Annual 5K Race will take place on Wednesday, July 12th. The race starts and ends at the Souderton Community Park on Wile Ave. Race festivities begin at 6:30 PM with the kids’ race and the 5K and walk begin at 7 PM.
