The Quakertown Farmers Market continues its long-time tradition of lending a helping hand in times of need. The Farmers Market will be collecting donations for the American Red Cross Hurricane Harvey victims through the month of September. Donations may be brought to the Market Office located at Exit #4. “It’s times like this when we realize we want to do something to help but are not quite sure what we can do. We can donate to the American Red Cross Disaster Fund which is reaching out to the many victims. As always, the American Red Cross is there in every emergency and we need to support them as they come to the aid of the victims in Houston. Together, we can make a difference, even if it’s only sparing pocket change-every little bit helps.” stated Kathy Chaney, Assistant Market Manager. “Our Merchants and shoppers alike rise to each occasion of need to the best of their abilities, their generosity is unmatched, it makes me proud to part of the community.” If you unable to come to the Market to donate, you may contact the Red Cross at 1-800 RED CROSS, or text HARVEY to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
