Event Description: The Upper Bucks YMCA is inviting members of all ages and generations throughout Upper Bucks County to attend YMCA’s Arts Week – an annual week-long celebration showcasing the unique and diverse talents of artists through various forms of expression. Held at Ys nationwide in October — National Arts and Humanities Month — Arts Week is an initiative of the Y that promotes the power of art to educate, inspire and connect the entire community. All week long, the Y will host a variety of activities for the community including: Open Art Studio, Drawing Class, Creative Costumes Workshop. Activities will be open to the public. Additionally, local artists will present a potter’s wheel demonstration and art auction. An Upper Bucks Artisans Studio Tour and Fine Arts Fair, presented by the Katie Stauffer Memorial Art Center will also be a part of this week. By participating in arts programs at the Y, children and adults have the opportunity to improve their creative and tactical skills, and well being because arts can be a stress-reliever for adults. They also socialize and build relationships, learn the art of group work, and share their enjoyment and passion with each other.
