Event Description: McCoole’s Arts & Events Place will present “Midnight Messenger Speakeasy,” Sunday, May 7, 2017 at from 4 to 8 pm. This engaging event features entertainment by Michael Arenella and his Dreamland Orchestra. Arenella is a musician, crooner, bandleader and impresario best known for leading his Dreamland Orchestra at his Jazz Age Lawn Party on New York’s Governors Island. Michael’s love of Jazz Age culture inspired him to throw the first Jazz Age Lawn Party over a decade ago for an intimate group of friends and fellow torch carriers of a bygone era. For Arenella, the Jazz Age never really ended, it just fell asleep. Today, he reawakens it wherever he plays. The event also includes a performance by the Magnolia Sadies, a vintage dance troupe dedicated to recreating dances and entertainment from the early 1900s-1950s. Vintage attire is encouraged. Tickets are $45 per person and include a drink ticket, social dancing and a specialty menu.
