Grant Will Be Used for Upgrades to NOVA’s Security System NOVA recently received a $10,000 grant from Foundations Community Partnership to be used to support upgrades to the security system at the organization’s Jamison office. Since NOVA serves some of the most vulnerable citizens of Bucks County, the safety and security of clients is of utmost importance. The upgraded security system will help maintain an environment that is safe, while providing essential services to victims of crime. ”We are thankful for the opportunity to support this important infrastructure project,” said Abigail Halloran, Chair, Foundations Community Partnership Board of Directors. “We are also proud to have provided more than $185,000 in grant funding since 2008 to support NOVA’s crucial work of ending patterns of violence in our communities.” Many clients that NOVA assists need guidance to process what has happened to them and to learn how to manage the resulting mental health challenges. The security system is one way to demonstrate to clients, staff and the community that NOVA is safe and welcoming space for everyone who needs the organization’s services. “Providing services to victims and survivors of sexual assault and other crimes in NOVA’s offices depends on a safe and secure environment for both our clients and our staff,” said Angela M. McGettigan, Director, Operations & Community Engagement at NOVA. “We are honored to be selected by Foundations Community Partnership to receive a Capital Improvement Grant to help with upgrading our security system to ensure that our spaces are safe and welcoming for anyone who needs our services.” About NOVA NOVA supports, counsels and empowers victims of sexual assault and other serious crimes in Bucks County and works to prevent and eliminate violence in society through advocacy, training, community education and prevention programs.
