NOVA, Bucks County’s comprehensive crime victim services agency, recently hosted its annual Designer Bag Bingo at St. Anne’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Warrington, raising a record-breaking $50,000 for the Bucks County Children’s Advocacy Center — the highest total in the event’s history. With 325 people in attendance, more than three dozen designer bags were taken home by game and raffle winners, including a Louis Vuitton clutch donated by the Plumstead Township Police Benevolent Association, which was the biggest prize of the night. Founded in 2008, the mission of the Children’s Advocacy Center is to protect the interests of children by facilitating a coordinated, child-centered response to child abuse reports and by promoting the rights and needs of at-risk and abused children. “CAC’s Designer Bag Bingo was a smash hit,” said Penny Ettinger, Executive Director, NOVA. “The room was electric with the energy and passion of our incredible Children's Advocacy Center supporters and partners from Bucks County Children and Youth Services, Law Enforcement, and the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office.
