Zach Schoch – Quakertown Community School District Zach Schoch, a lifetime resident of Quakertown, is the first Chief Operating Officer of the Quakertown Community School District, where he oversees an annual budget of $115 million. In this position, which he has held for two years, Mr. Schoch supervises the business office, human resources, facilities, food services and transportation for the Quakertown area’s largest employer. QCSD has 625 regular employees and another 160 supplementary employees. With an economy that’s rapidly changing, having Mr. Schoch on the Board of the Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce would greater benefit the Chamber, as it would help to encourage a symbiotic relationship between the school district and the business community. The district, with an enrollment of 5,200 students, educates the next generation of business owners and employees. Adding Mr. Schoch to the Board, would give entrepreneurs insights to the district’s thought process in curriculum development and, equally important, he would share the impressions of the business community with district administrators. A graduate of Bloomsburg University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Mr. Schoch obtained a master’s degree in Business Administration from Eastern University in 2013. He is a trustee for the Board of Trustees of the Bucks and Montgomery County healthcare consortium, and this fall will be joining the Board of Quakertown Cares, which provides funds for needy families in the Quakertown Community School District. Mr. Schoch began his career in 2010 as the Assistant to the Director of Human Resources in the Springfield Township (Montgomery County) School District. A year-and-a-half later, the Milford Township resident “came home” to QCSD as its Assistant to the Director of Human Resources. In July, 2014, he became the district’s Human Resources Manager. The following year he was promoted to Director of Human Resources. “I am really excited to have this opportunity to work alongside the top business leaders in the Upper Bucks community. I look forward contributing toward meeting the Chambers vision. Additionally, I believe it's long overdue to develop partnerships between the Quakertown Community School District and the business community for the betterment of the entire Quakertown and Upper Bucks area.” Said Schoch.
