Calling all ghouls and ghosts, our 29th Annual Trick or Treat and Costume Contest will be held on Saturday, October 26th at 1pm sharp. All our ghouls and ghost are asked to line up outside Entrance #18 in the appropriate age category. Age categories are 0-5, 6-9, 10-12 and family groups. Costume judging will take place after trick or treating in front of the outdoor stage. Prizes will be awarded in each category with a $250 Market Buck Grand Prize awarded for the overall best costume! It’s sure to be a Spooktacular event for all! The East Penn Modifiers Car Club will hold their Fall Charity Car Show on Saturday, October 12th from 9am-1pm. The show features classic cars and trucks, modified vehicles, and big rigs. The show takes place in the front lot with 100+ vehicles coming out to be judged. 30 Trophies will be awarded along with 5 Special Interest Awards. Vehicles can register the day of the show for $15.00, enter the 50/50 Raffles, register for door prizes and listen to the DJ spinning all the hits! The Fall Car Show benefits Nickels for Nicholas and Operation Enduring Warrior The show is FREE to attend, so come out to enjoy the music and appreciate all the cars and trucks on display. The Quakertown Farmers Market is in the midst of our 24th Annual Winter Coat Drive going on until Sunday, October 13th. The Market is asking everyone to clean out their closets of gently used coats that are in good repair, but no longer needed. Donation can be brought to the Market Office located at Exit #4. All coats collected will go to our local Salvation Army to help our needy neighbors stay warm this Winter. Thank you for your donations! Together, we can make a difference! The Market is once again joining with Rite Aid to hold a Flu Shot Clinic on Saturday, October 19th from 11am-3pm. The Clinic will be in Dept. #353A near Entrance #10. No Appointments are necessary, and the flu shot is free with most insurance coverages. Customers simply need to have their current health insurance ID card with them at time of service. Flu shot co-pays are covered under most insurance plans including Aetna, Signa, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Tri-Care, Caremark as well as Medicare Part B.
