Bob & Joyce Byers Co-Chair Michener Art Museum's Sold-Out Art of Wine Fundraising Gala Justin Guarini to Serve as Master of Ceremonies and David Rago and Suzanne Perrault to Host Live Action The Michener Art Museum is delighted to announce that Justin Guarini will serve as Master of Ceremonies at its Art of Wine Gala and David Rago and Suzanne Perrault will preside over the event’s live auction on SATURDAY, October 19, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM. The Art of Wine is the Museum’s biennial fundraising event, held at the Michener, and is celebrated with a multi-course gourmet dinner paired with select, fine wines, along with a silent and live auction. The evening, co-chaired this year by Bob and Joyce Byers, brings together the Museum’s most devoted supporters to raise funds enabling the Michener to continue enriching lives with stellar exhibitions and educational programming. Tickets for this ever-popular fundraiser have been sold-out for months. The evening begins with a special Vintner’s Reception showcasing premier wineries while guests enjoy exquisite hors d’oeuvres and silent auction bidding. A four-course dinner performed by Catering By Design follows in the award-winning Edgar N. Putman Event Pavilion where Justin Guarini will host the festive program. Guarini, a Doylestown native and a graduate of the Central Bucks School District, is a well-known singer, entertainer, and Broadway performer whose career launched with the first season of American Idol in 2002. Guests can look forward to his breadth of experience to keep the night full of energy. Guarini will introduce David Rago and Suzanne Perrault, founding partners of Rago, one of the country’s premier auction houses, who will orchestrate the exciting live auction showcasing art, wine, and unique destination packages. “The Michener Art Museum, like a fine wine, under the watchful eye of a great winemaker, has aged beautifully. It is on the right path to continue to do so for generations to come. May we raise our glasses to the future, and to many more dinners with fabulous wines and great friends,” expresses Bob Byers, Michener Art Museum, Art of Wine Co-Chair. “James Michener would have been elated to make a toast to the success this museum has seen in the past 30 years. Thanks to its great community support, and very talented staff, it is becoming one of the nation’s best regional art museums.” While tickets are no longer available for this sold-out fundraiser, interested parties can still partake in the evening by joining the online silent auction which offers exciting auction lots featuring rare vintages, fine art, exclusive experiences, luxury items and more. The online auction will open on FRIDAY, October 18th at 12 noon, but auction lots can be previewed in advance here --> https://e.givesmart.com/events/cLL/.
