We have an opportunity for experienced Professional Land Surveyor to join us as Project Manager within the Land Surveying department based out of our Wyomissing, Allentown, or Phoenixville offices. Responsibilities include: - Preparing proposals and communicating with clients. - Performing project research. - Supervising survey field and office staff. - Reviewing accuracy of survey data, notes, and sketches. - Performing computations for boundary, topographic, as-built, and construction surveys. - Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and requirements. - Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. - Conducting client meetings. - Attending municipal meetings. - Working closely with the Department Head to assure operational goals are met. - Coordinating the proper care and maintenance of all assigned survey equipment, vehicles, and tools.
Experience Required:
- Professional Land Surveyor license in PA (MD and/or NJ a plus). (We would consider an SIT that could obtain their PLS within 6 months of hire) - Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills - Prior project and client management experience - Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center (Bentley MicroStation a plus). - Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Remains familiar with the common laws of boundaries - Responsibilities will require a blend of office and field work and will require the ability to endure moderate physical strain, including walking and standing for extended periods of time, climbing, and working outdoors in sites that are under construction in varying weather conditions. - Valid driver's license - for travel to client sites/meetings - Ability to attend evening meetings - Ability to obtain clearances (for PA Act 34, 114, and 151) as we often work at school sites in PA.

Commercial Drop Ceiling Technician WORKSITES: 60-MILE RADIUS OF QUAKERTOWN (Tri-State Area, PA) General Summary of Position The Commercial Drop Ceiling Technician is expected to apply plasterboard or other wallboard to ceilings or interior walls of buildings. They may also apply or mount acoustical tiles or blocks, strips, or sheets of shock-absorbing materials to ceilings and walls of buildings to reduce or reflect sound. Essential Functions: • Accurately measure height, width, length, and other proportions, including but not limited to establishing correct ceiling heights. • Basic material take-off to ensure proper material selection and quantity needed. • Work with blueprints or instructions from supervisors. • Read blueprints and perform proper layout for work to be put in place. • Examine blueprints and specifications to determine types of grid and tiles and where they are appropriately installed. • Work with materials such as wood, metal, plastic, fiberglass, and/or drywall. • Utilize appropriate tools to build or repair structural components • Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives. • Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and lasers to ensure everything is level and secure. • Check work along the way to ensure it's up to code and specifications. • Install all types of ceiling grid systems (standard, slotted, and specialty products) • Inspects drywall partitions, mechanical mountings, and masonry surface for plumb and level, using a laser level. • Hang or mechanically fasten support wires for acoustical ceiling grid from building structure. • Hangs dry lines (stretched string) to wall molding to guide positioning of main runners. • Nails or screws molding to wall to support and seals joint between ceiling tile and wall. • Scribes and cuts edges of tile to fit wall where wall molding is not specified. • Measures and marks surface to lay out work according to blueprints and drawings. • Install acoustical ceiling main runners and cross runners. • Cuts tiles for fixture and borders, using keyhole saw, and inserts tiles into supporting framework. • Erect scaffolding. • Always exercise the proper use of PPE. • Coordinate with other trades on project to ensure an efficient installation flow. • Attend required safety training as assigned. Some hazards may be present such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, toxic/caustic chemicals, and slippery/uneven walking surfaces.
